Today, April 12, is the Cosmonautics Day in honor of the anniversary of the first human flight into space. On this day, exactly 60 years ago, the Vostok launch vehicle launched the Vostok-1 spacecraft into orbit. On board was Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin, who became the first person to fly into outer space. At the start, he said the famous "Let's go!". After completing one revolution around the Earth, at 10:53 on the 106th minute, the ship completed its flight. Due to a failure in the braking system, the lander with Gagarin landed not in the planned area 110 km from Stalingrad, but in the Saratov region, near Engels in the area of the villages of Smelovka and Podgornoye. For the flight into space, Gagarin was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
